Glenmore Trail bridge removal to impact traffic this May long weekend

Planning to head out of town this weekend? You may want to double check your route. Starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, May 18, westbound Glenmore Trail will be reduced to a single lane between Deerfoot Trail and Blackfoot Trail S.E. The ramp from southbound Deerfoot to westbound Glenmore will also be closed for this construction project. Motorists travelling westbound on Glenmore through this stretch are advised to expect delays.

The City is encouraging motorists to use either Southland Drive, or Memorial Drive as alternate westbound routes.

This closure remains in place through 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22 and accommodates the removal of an abandoned rail bridge. Information on this project can be found on Calgary.ca.
